Practice tips

  • Sing on an open vowel like “ah” or “oo”; consonants confuse any tuner.
  • Hold each note for two seconds and watch whether the bar drifts.
  • Use the Reference button to hear the target, then sing it back.
  • Raise the noise gate in Settings if room noise makes the reading jump.

FAQ

How do I use a vocal tuner?

Press Start, then sing one steady vowel such as “ah”. The big letter shows the note you're singing and the bar shows whether you're flat or sharp.

What note am I singing?

The tuner names the note and octave, for example A3. Middle C is C4. Most men speak and sing around C3–C4 and most women around C4–C5.

Can I find my vocal range with this?

Yes. Sing your lowest comfortable note and note it down, then your highest. The span between them is your range.
